HomeSpirations Movie~Enjoying Nature

Hello everyone

Phew!  It’s so hot here, 100 degrees expected with a 110 degree heat index!  I watered our lawn this morning and already it was in the 80′s and humid!  I know I said that I like hot weather, but this is even too much for me.  I will have to keep a bottle of water handy wherever I go today.  My in-laws are here and tonight we are going to a concert and I’m hoping that it won’t be too uncomfortable for them.

It’s so hot out I am sure you can fry an egg on the pavement.

The weather is going to be crazy crazy hot, I am thinking most people are indoors today, hopefully drinking tons of water.

Even though summer has arrived, you may still be looking for that perfect family vacation spot to go to, so let’s talk National Parks.

Maybe you’re thinking of driving to the perfect vacation spot. Why not drive to one of the 58 protected green space areas known as national parks? National parks are a great educational experience for the whole family, they help protect our environment, and  not only can you watch wild animals in their natural habitat, you can have “vistas” that are just jaw dropping.  You can even hire a private guide to give you an historical tour of the park.

The parks are budget friendly, you don’t have to spend a lot of money on accommodations.  If you enjoy being one with nature, you can pitch a tent and sleep in the great outdoors!  Personally, I have a fear of snakes and any creepy crawly things, so it won’t be me pitching that tent.  If you have an RV, they have campgrounds where you can park and enjoy the facilities.

For people like me, who enjoy the great outdoors, but are still somewhat reserved when it comes to being one with it, many parks provide accommodations that have a less rustic environment, by way of lodges or inns.

Let me show you some of these beautiful lodges.

So, grab that popcorn and tons of water, and here’s our HomeSpirations Movie Friday!

I hope you enjoyed 3 out of the 58 national parks videos.  As you see, there’s so much to experience and so many vistas to watch and be part of.  In most cases, some of these parks are not that far from where you live.  So, plan that family vacation to a national park and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Today, with it being so darn hot and humid, it reminds of the saying “dog days of summer”.  So, I thought I’d end my post with just that showing you what a dog does during the hot summer months.
