Welcome to HomeSpirations monthly newsletter.

Wow!  Would you believe another month has come and gone!  A lot has happened since our first newsletter launch last month.  HomeSpirations had an updated page makeover!  It’s now a modern, chic and sexy site. The feedback has been extremely positive.  Keep those comments coming! The month of June saw the re-scheduling of a bi-monthly series, Eco-Day!  It’s mission is to highlight environmentally friendly products and services for your home.

• On June 20th, our first remake topic covered “Alternative Energy Homes”.  Coincidentally, It was also the Summer Solstice day, the longest day of the year. I showcased a cross sample of passive solar energy homes and explained how Wikipedia defines a passive solar building design as one where “windows, walls, and floors are made to collect, store, and distribute solar energy in the form of heat in the winter and reject solar heat in the summer.”  Click here to read more.

June 6th, Tree Getaways!

I would love to have a place of my own to get away from the heat and humidity; albeit just a few step from my studio, just far enough away to keep my creativity going.  The only people besides me would be invited are the hummingbirds.  Can’t you just picture yourself doing something like that?

June 11th, White Hotels with a Modern Touch

To my “first” article of the week.  It’s not just about modern hotels exactly, but more about hotels I had the pleasure of visiting while on vacation in Southern Italy.  I found out, much to my surprise, that the main color scheme of these hotels is white!  Read more about it here.

June 13th, Accessorizing with Chandeliers!

When was the last time you looked up at your ceiling and thought it’s time to update those ceiling lights?  I know I’ve done that.  It’s only natural that we’d like to update products in our homes to reflect the changing trends. I never thought of myself as a fan of chandeliers, that was until I came across some of these, I immediately fell in love with them.  Click here to read more. 

June 15th, Friday Movie Time-Let’s Talk Beauty

The weekend is here and I’ve just checked the weather forecast and it’s promising to be beautiful and sunny!  Whenever I see temperatures that are sunny with no rain forecast, it makes me very happy because it’s my favorite type of weather!  I’m planning on being outdoors a lot this weekend.  The weather forecast has put me in the mood to showcase nature at its best with colors that inspire designers when decorating a house.Click here to read more and see the pictures.

June 18th, Outdoor Entertaining Spaces

It’s time to entertain outdoors again.  Time to enjoy the backyard surrounded your garden. All those plants and shrubs you have painstakingly nurtured for weeks will blossom during the warm weather.    It’s also time to mesmerize your guests with your skills at the grill.  I’m a person who loves to entertain outdoors, especially when the weather is warm and sunny.  Click here to read more.

June 22nd, Fridays’ Movie~Weekend Getaways!

Let me give you the storyline for today’s feature.  It’s a weekend that is disgustingly hot.  The kids are driving you up the wall wanting to go to a pool.  You let your imagination get away and you start to dream about a weekend jaunt to a beautiful resort hotel in an exotic location with no responsibilities and no children.  Click here to watch the video.

June 25th, Decorating with Yellow

 I am a huge lover of sunflowers.  There is something special about very bright flowers that have eye-catching yellow tones in any room.  They’re so bright and playful!  They’re a nice way to bring in some of that summer sunshine into your home.  One of my favorite places to have a sunflower arrangement is in my kitchen.  To read more, click here.

I’m excited because the upcoming Fourth of July Independence Day celebrations are exactly one week from today.  I’m sure that many of you out there are planning an outdoor barbecue party with friends and family.
