Interior Design is sensual!
I do believe that interior design is sensual as it addresses as many senses as possible. Certainly, it should at the very least, appeal to the senses of sight and touch. As an example; you might address the sense of smell with nice fragrances and the sense of hearing with good acoustics.
In doing so, you will enhance the sounds of conversation and music making them easier to understand and appreciate by everyone who enters your home.
Choosing fabrics that are soft to the touch provide an entirely different experience than those created from leather and plastics.
Remember, what you choose to bring into your home is important as how you showcase it.
‘Nothing can cure the soul but the senses, just as nothing can cure the senses but the soul.” ~ Oscar Wilde
Design is about travel, food and culture!
Although HomeSpirations primarily addresses eco-friendly design, it will also showcase unique “cultured” design styles that I have gathered during my travels.
I love to travel and believe it is one of the best educational experiences available. Travelling accords me the pleasure of experiencing locations and cultures that I have read about, seen in a film and/or watched on television. It also provides me with an awareness and deep respect for different cultures.
I enjoy experiencing new food and as a part-time foodie, who is also an avid watcher of cooking shows, food design interests me as much as interior design: we eat first with our eyes, so presentation is the key in the enjoyment of good food and good design.

I look forward to your feedback about my ideas and I encourage you to comment and participate, it will help to inspire me to keep being creative and sharing my vision of a world with better sustainable designs.
Thank you for being part of my love of design, travel and environmental issues!
